LA/LB & LAS/LBS Series
|LINEAR ACTUATORS, SYNCHRONOUS OR STEPPING|
Versatile, rugged LAS and LBS (stepping) and LA and LB (synchronous) motors/actuators offer design engineers an economical choice for the generation of controlled linear motion for pulling, pushing or lifting. The rotor assembly contains a nut which accepts a standard 1 /4" diameter, 16 TPI, RH Acme screw. Rotor nut and screw provide a Class 2G fit.
LAS and LBS Series (stepping) motors have rotor step angles of 7.5° (LAS) or 15°(LBS) with linear resolutions of 768 or 384 steps per inch, respectively. They may be driven with the Hurst Stepping Motor Controllers .
LA and LB Series (synchronous), with rotor speeds of 300 RPM (LA) and 600 RPM (LB) have linear travels of 5/16 and 5/8 in./sec., respectively.
All motors are reversible and have die cast end bells and ball bearing construction. Voltages other than those shown as well as 2-phase, bipolar stepping motor windings may be specified.
1. Capacitors for LA and LB synchronous motors are required for operation.
2. Standard configuration for stepping motors is bifilar-wound with 6 lead wires. Click here for standard lead wire color code and switching sequence.
3. Actuator screws of lengths longer or shorter than 8" may be specified.
